Aggressive Skate Tricks- HOW TO: Spin

well, workin my legs out has helped much. but jump ropin actually got my arms stronger too and allowed me to throw my arms around faster and jump higher all from jumpin rope. herealright, today was my first day to ever get a 720 off flat ground, so if your having trouble with spins, read ahead.
540’s:
crouch down about 3/4 of the way that you usually do when you tryin to jump high. as you do, slowly swing your arms to the opposite way that you spin. than immediatly spring up, and throw your arms back the other way and keep your legs together. now, if your tryin to 540 do this. keeps your legs completely straight and together while your spinning. this has no style, but you spin faster and you will get used to spinning that much. than after a while, start to tuck in a little bit while you do it. and than do it with some grabs if you want too.

720’s:
now since today was my first day of doin these i did some things a little bit different. usually when your winding your arms up to get ready to spin. your arms and your hips twist and than you pull around. but with 720’s, dont only turn your arms and your hips, twist your knees to the side also. and than jump as high as you can and use everything that you wound up to throw your body faster than before into doing a complete 720. you have to at least give it more power than a 540. now make sure that you keep your legs together and straight, and again get used to spinning that fast. than start to tuck in more and more as you go along. i personally tucked in only a little bit so far.

i will put 900 up as soon as i get it. if i get it. i will be tryin it next week

and always keep your head turned in the direction your spinning while in the air.

    This “how to” article really helped me improve my spins. More than anything else in here important is that you need to throw your arms and entire upper body when you spin. Awesome tutorial!
