The 2012 Blading Cup when down over the weekend in Santa Ana. Pretty action packed weekend featuring all the professional and amateur aggressive rollerbladers. With the combination of the Strange Creatures premiere and the Electro dance party it was a pretty wild weekend. This year team Australia dominated the course with some superb shredding. Check out some of the photos our homie Sean Keane took below.

We decided to close down Roller Warehouse on Friday so we could get a head start towards Santa Ana, we hit the 99 south right after work on Thursday. We decided to head to Fresno to pick up Roller Warehouse team rider Joey Ihara. We crashed at his house Thursday night and headed out Friday morning. We got into Santa Ana and first thing we checked out the new Themgoods Shop, we had to have only be in there for 5 minutes and boom, we have a parking ticket for not paying the meter. Big ice about 10 minutes into Santa Ana, but it would be much better as the weekend went on. Next we checked out the course and it was looking like a big pull, lots more obstacles than last year. We partied with the whole Nor-Cal crew that night and crashed out at the Embassy Suites preparing ourselves for the comp tomorrow. Woke up bright and early and headed down to the course to setup our booth. We brought a bunch of Undercover Wheels, RW Tees, and other swag to sell and give away. Then comp got going with no problems and the Amateur competition began. Tons of awesome bladers were there competing, aswell as a few RW Riders. In the end it came down to Gavin Drumm, Kevin Yee, and Michael Garlinghouse. Gavin Drumm ended up winning the Am titles and advanced on towards the Pro section of the comp. A few carne asada tacos later and the Pro division began. All the big name dudes were there trying to go big and take home first place. It was narrowed down to Cj Wellsmore, Chris Haffey, and Jeff Stockwell and in the end CJ took home 1st. Congratulations to Australia for crushing the comp this year, big ups. After the comp they had a swagged out electro dance party across the street. Lots of laser lights, drum and bass later we make it back to the La Quinta Inn and kick it tough with the JSF crew for the rest of the night. Awakened Sunday morning on the floor almost time to checkout of the Hotel. We dip out, hit up Carrows and i got a amazing country fried steak. This years Blading Cup was alota fun, can’t wait for next year. Thanks to Jon Julio for making this happen.
