Mindgame Wheels and more…

If you ask me, one of the main reasons that rollerblading clothing is so appealing to our community is because no one else at school is wearing it. When I am wearing a Fiction, Heat or Mindgame shirt while I’m hanging out with my friends that don’t skate, they are always asking me what brand it is and telling me how sick the designs are. When I tell them that it is a rollerblading company, they get a different idea of our industry. Instead of thinking of us as corny fruit booters, they get a chance to see that there is style and thought put into it and start seeing skating as a really creative and fun thing to do.
When I am looking for clothes to buy, I always look for new creative and fresh designs. Mindgame has always given us a perfect balance of choices when it comes to clothing. From the classic designs that you can trust such as the Mindkind t-shirt, to the brand new creative designs like the Gateway storm t-shirt. With that being said, I was juiced when I heard that Rollerwarehouse got the brand new Mindgame line in stock. Just as you would expect the designs on the new t-shirts are innovative. The Strangler tee really stands out to me. It’s a black shirt with a gray arm extending from the bottom of the shirt towards the collar, making it look like the hand is strangling you. This shirt is guaranteed to get you some looks on the streets due to its creative design and sick graphic. Another t-shirt that is available is the love/hate shirt. This one is a really great idea, when you read the logo on the front of the shirt, sometimes it reads love and sometimes it reads hate. It is kind of like those pictures that you stare at for hours till you can see what it is. These are just a couple of the new shirts that are available from the new Mindgame line. You can check out all of them on the rollerwarehouse website at www.rollerwarehouse.com. But shirts are not the only thing that Mindgame has to offer with this new line. The beanies and hats are amazing. They now offer a sick archaic Fidel cap that is available in faded black and faded charcoal, this will definitely keep you in style while keeping the sun out of your eyes. The plaid visor beanie is the sickest hat they offer. It’s a knit jacquard beanie with a plaid pattern and an “M” logo on the corner of the visor. This one is available in black with gray, or gray with charcoal and will keep your dome warm when it gets cold.
The new Mindgame backpacks are about the only thing that could make me want to go back to school. The new Streamline ed.4 bag can carry your skates with its zip up skate holder on the back. It’s got a pattern of Mindkind logos in circles all over it. This bag reminds me of an expensive designer bag, but with a price that any roller can afford. The other new bag is the bad Education ed.2 bag. This bag is perfect for school, great for holding your books and notes but still keeping it real with the rollerblading style. It is all black with a mindgame logo on the bottom right of the pouch on the front and white lines running across it. Mindgame bags have always been durable and long lasting. Don’t expect anything less with these ones.
One of the signs of a great company is offering a wide variety of merchandise. Mindgame offers you more than just bags clothes and hats. They offer high quality pro model wheels, bearings and skate tools. The mindgame Ti bearings are very nice. It’s always good to have a name brand on your bearings. The mindgame titanium bearings increase your speed, durability and ride quality. They are available for a really nice price. At only $16.00 for a pack of 8 bearings, they are a bargain. When I ride on my Mindgame bearings it just makes me feel better knowing that they have the Mindgame name backing them up. And for when it is time to switch your bearings or wheels, they offer a sweet skate tool. It comes with 2 hex wrenches for axels, and a bearing popper. The bearing popper comes in very handy, because I am always struggling with bearings that are hard to get out of wheels. The wrenches can be used as a key chain also, that way you cant loose it when you are skating or running from security guards at skate spots.
Mindgame wheels have been the gold standard for wheels for a while now. They last a very long time and have really sick designs on them. There are 2 new pro model wheels that were just released, the new Chris farmer ed.3 wheel, and the Brian Aragon ed.2 wheel. The farmer has a new mold with a larger core and harder durometer, this should make the wheel ride a little smoother and last longer. It has a sick new design with his name printed in small letters at the top of the wheel, and a sick new logo on the side. It is a 57/92 wheel that will look great on any skate. The Aragon is a 56/90 wheel so it is a perfect fit for most every frame. The graphic on the wheel has Brian Aragon’s name printed in big letters around the side and black lines all over the right side with a white background. These new pro wheels are sure to last you a long time and make your skates look better. Mindgame also released a new version of their classic higgs boson anti rocker wheel. On one side of the wheel it says, “this is not a wheel”, and on the other side it says, “this is a higgs boson”. It is a 48/100 anti rocker wheel that is perfect for locking grinds. Instead of being a perfect smooth circle like most wheels, it has squared off corners making for an easy lock on grinds. So instead of your anti rockers still rolling when you jump on a ledge, the angles of the higgs boson will catch on the ledge and make it a lot easier to lock and slide. Over all I would have to say that the new Mindgame line is very nice and creative. And with a team that consists of Farmer, Latimer, Feinberg, and Aragon, they must be doing something right.
