Brand new SL (Super Light) skate in the house, dubbed the Razor Silhan Pro SL Skates. Silhan is a big time french shredder and has been killin it super hard recently. This skate features a few improvements that the previous model SL’s didn’t have
Check out some of the extra information and photos below:
The new Razor Silhan Pro SL Skates come in a clean all white setup, the shell design is similar to the Dre 2′s. It has a normal plastic shell underneath the skin, the skin is just kind of for looks to give this skate a more sneaker like look. They come setup with my personal favorite frame, the GC Featherlite 2, with the recessed side walls to decrease surface friction making your grind faster. And the sickle axels are a big pull when you need to change a wheel and only have one allen wrench. Really impressed with the liner that came in this skate, on some of the previous models, the tongue would hurt the top of my foot, but not on the Razor Silhan Pro SL Skates, the padding seems to be alot softer and more comfortable. We can swap out the color of the parts on this skate for no additional charge, so if you want a white & black setup or a white & red setup, we can make that happen for no additional charge!
Improvements:
The skin on this skate has a Kevlar reinforcement in the most exposed areas, like the toe, so these skins will be alot more durable than the Dre 2′s.
Also im a big fan of the Genesys cuff, i feel it gives me a little bit more flex than the standard SL style cuff.
Overall I’m really impressed with how this skate came out, some much needed upgrades to the classic super light skate.

“France is one of the leading markets for rolling and home to some of the best skaters and most amazing skate spots in the world. We were surprised to learn that no French skater ever received a pro skate from a company. Razors is proud to change this and pay respect where respect is due. And probably no one deserves it more than a skater who’s been skating strong for over 15 years, has been admired for his flawless style and did more for the community than many other pro skaters by opening his own distribution company and organizing world class events and tours: Mathias Silhan.
The Razors Silhan SL comes with a skin which is Kevlar reinforced in the most exposed areas and gives the skate a clean and shoe style look. It comes with sound absorbing material in between the soul and boot, new buckle receivers that prevent accidental opening and the Genesys cuff for a bit more flex. Mathias’ Jug liner features a dual density foam to provide superior heel support and perfect comfort. New is a padded tongue insert which gives extra padding in the instep area.
The Silhan comes loaded with branded parts such as Titen bearings, BHC wheels and GC’s Featherlite 2 frames which are responsible for the light weight of the skate.”

“After the success of their first Featherlite frame series, Ground Control decided to take the frame to the next level with
their new Featherlite v.2 frame which has some subtle but useful changes in its design.
The first useful change is the addition of their locking axle which makes it so that you only need 1 allen wrench to tighten
or loosen your axle bolts. Next they added beveled frame edges to the Featherlite 2 to improve its cess sliding abilities.
They also reduced the weight even more because aggressive skaters demanded an even lighter frame. The frame’s groove
was redesigned to be slightly smaller because riders felt the original groove started out slightly too big.
Lastily Ground Control decided to include a set of their 42mm nylon anti rockers in every Featherlite 2 frame set so
that they are ready to grind on right away.
The Featherlite 2 frame is also available for the first time in size 3 for skate sizes 12-15! Overall the Ground Control
Featherlite II frame is extremely durable, stiff, light weight and provides maximum strength. The FLT frame also
incorporates GC’s signature symmetrical design, a perfect center groove and a low profile.”

Probably the coolest feature of this skate. I always thought some of the older model SL (Super Light) style skates were just a wee bit clanky, meaning that they didn’t have the most solid sound when you landed. Well with the new Razor Silhan Pro SL Skates that is a thing of the past, they put a cloth rubber shock absorber in between the soul frame and the shell of the boot, this reduces some of that annoying noise while land, making the skates vastly more solid.
