Ground Control F1 Flat Frame

As the inventor of the deep H-block and pioneer of the freestyle frame concept, Ground Control decided to take the concept to a whole new level: Center piece of the Formula 1 frame is an oversized H-Block which extends over 80 % of the frame and provides a true cost efficient solution to replace it when worn down.

This concept was made possible by a patented 3-point attachment system which secures the h-block all the way through the base of the frame and the sole of the boot. This creates a frame which is unmatched in stiffness, strength and durability. Special sickle shaped axle bolt heads increase the crucial material thickness below the axle holes and allow convenient one hand operation.

Both versions got raving test reviews by Brian Shima, Jeff Stockwell and Chris Haffey. The Formula 1 frame comes in 2 versions, Flat or Freestyle and replacement H-blocks come in a variety of colors.

Remedyz 08 Three Skates

In an effort to increase worldwide growth and recognition of the rolling industry, the main manufacturers (Deshi, Nimh, Razors, Remedyz, Rollerblade, USD, Valo, Xsjado) announce the launch of the WRS, World Rolling Series.

Goals:
- to combine the major skate contest around the world (Bittercold ShowDown, BarnBurner, Chaz Open, SDSF Open, SuperHick, WinterClash, etc..) to a world series with a final world championship event.
- to work with event organizers around the world and create national championships
- to give riders from all over the world the opportunity to get noticed and achieve worldwide recognition.
- to introduce a world ranking list.
- to streamline Pro/Am contests and create a unified contest format.
- to attract outside media and create awareness of the sport in the broad public.
- to hire a sports marketing agency and bring in outside sponsors.

One: Get Someone to Blade Day

It’s a new year, now let’s go make some new friends! Each dedicated rollerblader wants to see our sport and culture grow to its fullest potential, and Get Someone to Blade Day is here to remind us that one person can make a difference. But getting a new person on blades is about more than just making a new rollerblader, it’s a chance to share the unique awesomeness that is blade culture with new people; to pass the fun you get from blading on to someone else’s life. It’s a win-win situation all around. So don’t be shy. Keep your old blades in your trunk and when you hit up the park next time, get them on a pair of feet. Drag your non-skating friends in with you to the local skate shop. Bring ‘em to the video premieres and events in your area. This may sound like a no-brainer to some of us, but there’s plenty of you out there being greedy and keeping blading all to yourselves! No fair! You want your pros to earn more cheddar and your favorite company to make even cooler gear? Go the extra mile and do what you can to help make a whole new army of rollers. Let’s consider this post a forum to discuss ways to get your local scene involved and a place to brainstorm ideas. We’re here to help however we can, so let us know what we can do to help you Get Someone to Blade! — ONE

Designer Chris Piascik was super-cool and donated his time to make up some preliminary designs for the Get Someone to Blade Day campaign. (Thanks, Chris!) The graphic you see above is the first GIF we’ll be spreading around, and below we’ve posted some of Chris’ initial concepts. Use them as you see fit! Just give props where props are due. All we wanna do is inspire folks to see how much power is in their hands, and trust us, we’ve got some plans of our own…

We all know the AIL Championships is one of the hottest contests of the year in aggressive skating. In spirit of this, we here at Roller Warehouse are sending down three of our riders to check out all the action that’s going down. It’s a weekend long event featuring a tradeshow with booths from tons of different vendors that are bringing super low discount pricing on all of their items. Not to mention the best pros in the world traveling to compete for the $3000 first prize. We’ll be taking along our trusty camcorder so we can bring you a nice little edit of all the weekend fun that goes down. Be sure to be on the lookout for it this next coming week!

The event will begin on Friday evening and will conclude on Sunday afternoon with a Pro Invitational where our top 10 amateurs (from the advanced division) will compete against the best Professionals in our sport!
