USD has just dropped the long awaited USD Carbon IV Black Boots. They went for a whole different look this time around with hidden laces, giving this skate a more shoe like look and feel. Some of the new features include:
Removable & Replaceable 45 Degree Strap
Removable & Replaceable Liner
A Cuff that give you the option to ride V-Cut or Flat Cut.
Overall the USD Carbon IV Black Boots bring alot of much needed improvements to the Carbon style skates. The tongue on the new liner is the same as the older carbons, with a gel perforated tongue to prevent it from twisting while your skates and just making it alot more comfortable in general. They also added some protection on the side of the the skate via a rubber bumper. These skates have the same style soulplate and buckle that everyone love. The metal buckle increases durability. Long story short, I’m pretty juiced off these skates i tried some on the other day in the office and was surprised to find out that they gave me zero pressure points and felt pretty darn nice, i think USD has really out done themselves on this model. The skate of the future. USD has succeeded in adopting Carbon technology in aggressive inline.
The USD Carbon is a hardboot /softboot hybrid combining a pure, reinforced Carbon fiber structure with real Leather upper. Perfected by the USD Pro team, this really is the most advanced skate on the market.
No other brand had successfully implemented Carbon technology into an aggressive skate before Deshi and USD. Carbon allows the skate to be stronger and lighter than any skate produced in the past. This means the skate does away with the heavy sensation many boots give you and allows you the chance to jump higher than ever before.
The skate fits small and close to your feet, and each skate is exclusive to its size, so you don’t have to share molds with other sizes. This allows for a shoe like appearance and unbeatable control as each skate fits to your feet like a glove.
The Leather uppers are extremely resistant to wear and tear, and along with all it’s hi-tech features, the Carbon skate really is the lightest, strongest and most exclusive skate experience available to the aggressive skater.
With it’s legacy of street skating combined with strong personalities, no-one can deny the USD pro teams long standing influence on rolling.
The Liner:
One of a kind liner for the USD Carbon IV Black Boots. A thinner style liner except for the top were the padding is thicker to make up for the shortened shell. This liner also features a lace up system to help keep your foot locked into place. Gel perforated tongue, same style as the tongue on the older carbons, make for a super comfy liner that wont twist and turn inside of the skate.
The Cuff:
These cuffs feature a removable V-Cut insert, with the removal of 4 screws you can pop the insert in or out.
This give you the option of riding regular cut or v-cut. This is the first time a feature like this has been used in an aggressive skate, and i think its great. Opens the skate up to a wide variety of different personal preferences.
The Shell:
As you can tell from the picture the height of the shell has been shortened, since this skate now has a removable liner. And the removable liner has more padding at the top to make up for this.
