Valo Brand just released the Valo TV 3 Camo Skates. Their standard TV style skate, inner plastic shell with a skin style overboot, giving the skate a clean sneaker style look. Just in time for Veterans Days a clean Camo and Black skin with black parts. From the pictures i wasn’t the biggest fan of these blades, but once i saw a few videos of Julio skating them, and once we got them in to check out, i was sold. Great job Valo, just the right amount of camo on their signature style skate. Be sure to check our the extra photos and info below:
One of my favorite features of a Valo Skate is their adjustable Memory Buckle. The strap on the buckle adjusts into the cuff of the skate to make it longer or shorter. The button is beneath the skin, push it to adjust the strap. The end of the strap locks into the metal buckle on the outside of the skate. This system maintains the same buckle tightness every time you put your skates on. It also makes kicking your skates on and off a lot easier.
Sizing:
These skates do run very true to size length wise. But are a little bit narrow width wise. So if you have a wider foot, best idea is to size up a half to full size. Any questions, feel free to call us 1-800-772-2502
Shell Sizing:
6-7, 8-9, 10, 11-12, 13-15
The Frames: Valo VTF Frames
More people should be skating Valo VTF Frames. We always get Custom Skates coming through and people swap out these frames for something else. I feel like people have a misconception that a “Stock” frame is bad, well this specific frame is an exception. I’ve personally been riding these frames for the past couple months. I ride them for a few reasons: Metal Frame Spacers, in my opinion all frames need this. Built in plastic frame spacers start to mushroom over after time and restrict your bearings from spinning as fast as they could. Aluminum Frame Spacers give you that solid connection between the Frame Spacers and the Bearings giving you the best possible free spin. Most people are not aware of thia. Second, Thick Side Walls: the walls on these frames are over a 1/4 inch thick. Believe me when i say it, these frame last, and longer than most other frames. Bottom line, these are great frame, add some Anti-Rockers and your good to go.
The Wheels: Valo 58mm 88A Team Wheels
58mm wheels setup Flat Rocker in the Valo VTF Frames. 58mm may be a little big for a Flat Setup in these frames but give it a few sessions and they’ll wear down enough to give you plenty of h-block room. 58mm is the ideal size for an Anti-Rocker setup, if you want to add some Anti’s to these frames i recommended the Eulogy Anti Rockers 47/101, Moonshine’s, or Rollerblade Anti-Rockers. 88A hardness will provide unmatched grip on Vert, Park, or Street. In my opinion the stock Valo Wheels are a little bit better than the normal Generic Wheels, which is what most skates come with. Definitely good enough to get you rolling smooth right out of the box.
The Liners: Valo TV 3 Liners
These liners have improved stitching compared to the old models, heel cup is wider and now made of a more durable fabric material. Neoprene toe will reduce pressure on your toes and form to your foot. These are pretty much the ideal liner for Valos, not super thick, not super thin, the perfect amount of padding for these skates.
The Soulplates: Valo 2 Piece Black Soul Plates
These are Valo’s New 2 Piece Soul Plates first introduced a few years ago. They went with a 2 piece system this time, which enabled them to increased the thickness of the soulplate, increasing durability. They are now a two piece system, so you can swap them out to give your skate a cool custom look. These are made out of Polyamide Nylon with infused Glass Fiber to increase grinding speed and strength. Hands down some of the longest lasting souls on the market. Most of the time the soulplates last just about as long as the skates. Beefy design to hold up to tough street skating.
The Bearings: Generic Abec 5′s
Your pretty basic Generic Abec 5′s. This is pretty much the standard thing all skates come setup with right out of the box. Now they’re not going to be super fast, but the dual metal shields will help keep dirt and gunk out, while helping keep lubrication in. Keep in mind these bearings are not serviceable (cleanable). If your wondering what will be better and won’t break your wallet, I’d highly recommend Bones Reds or Crap Bearings.
