USD Aeon Team 72mm Grey Skates
The new USD Aeon Team Grey Skates have dropped and are some of the best looking skates in the Aeon lineup to date. There’s not much to customize on the Aeon skate since you have a unibody construction with no detachable frame or soul plate; however, that doesn’t mean you can get upgrade yourself to a perfect custom setup. We added some high quality parts to this already awesome skate even better.
The USD Aeon line of skates consist of Unibody construction with lightweight one-piece shell, soulplate and frame. This new unibody construction brings down the weight of the skate, as well as cutting down the dead space between your feet and the ground. The one piece shell makes it so there is a lack of hardware and extra plastic for soul plates, leaving your foot as close to your wheels and grinds as you can get. This is a great and unique feeling skate but you’ll have to try a pair out to see for yourself.
72mm flat frame:
counter-sunk wheel cut outs for lowest profile possible, internal reinforcements for increased rigidity, side sliders, 254mm wheel base (size 41 EU), 42mm groove width (size 41 EU), metal spacers.
Aeon soulplate:
perfectly shaped groove, reduced friction due to offset soul sliders, same width plates for controlled cess slides, optimized plate-frame angle.
Wheels: Gawds Franky Morales 68mm 88a
Superjuice Compound. Advanced aggressive technology for freeskate wheels.
Exclusively poured in California, USA. Created with the finest PU (Polyurethane) and core compounds available in the industry. Gawds PU is the most durable, fast and grippy PU available
Bearings: Go Project Crown Bearings
Go Project Crown bearings are different. The bearings come with a copper ‘Crown Spacer’ which slots into the centre bore hole. Compatible with all regular skate wheels and frames, the Crown system enhances performance in several ways:
The majority of grit and dirt enters the bearing through the inner ring and the shield. The Crown spacer forms a cover over this area, reducing the intake of external elements.
The Crown spacer spreads the load of the rider across a wide plateau creating greater energy efficiency.
The Crown system shifts the position of the bearing away from the frame walls and deeper into the wheel, resulting in less damage and contamination from road debris.
They are an effective solution for poor energy transfer caused by frames with plastic frame spacers.
Locks into the shell to prevent the shock absorber from moving. Not too thick of a shock absorber like you find in some skates but will most definitely get the job done and help save your feet from bruised heels.
