Xsjado 2.0 Schwab II GC Skates Xsjado recently released Ben Schwab’s well deserved second Pro model boot. Essentially a Xsjado 2.0 boot with some new upgrades and new foot wrap designed by Ben himself. These skates are great for all different skill levels of skating. This boot only skate came right out the box with a really cool burgundy, black, and grey setup. We decided to make these even better by making them a complete custom setup that still goes along with the original color scheme of the skate.
The Soul Plate: Xsjado One Piece 2.0 Soulplates.
And it comes equipped with the new One Piece 2.0 Soulplates. The older 1.0 Soulplates always sounded a bit clacky when you land. But with the new one piece souls they are a lot more solid. The plus to have a one piece single injection mold. The toe area is more contour to the shape of your foot giving you a large soulplate without a ton of overhang. Now in made 4 sizes: 4.5-7.0, 7.5-9.0, 9.5-11.0, & 11.5-13.0.
The Frames: Kizer Fluid IV Grey Frames Kizer’s frame team put their heads together to bring you a frame designed specifically for anti-rocker skating. Wide h-block and able to fit 60mm wheels on the outside. What more could you ask for?
Features:
8mm Axels
Aluminum Frame Spacers
Wide H-Block
Minimalistic Design
Ideal Anti-Rocker Frame
The Wheels: Ground Control 57mm 90a Wheels Ground Control developed a line of wheels that perfectly complements their frames. Made in the USA from super high rebound PU our wheels are extremely fast, grippy and long lasting. Recently tested these wheels out and can say their a quality wheel at a great price. Go great with any frame setup.
Flat Profile with 90a hardness is perfect for both park and street skating.
The Footwrap: Xsjado Schwab II Footwraps These Schwab II footwraps are some of my favorite footwraps to come in a Xsjado in a while. Simple all black color way with suede leather construction and wing tip accents on the laces. Come with nice cushy insoles with Schwab Xsjado logo that matches the cuff. Super grippy bottom sole that also helps with shock absorbing. These Schwab II foot wraps also look cool enough to wear as your everyday shoes.
Nylon Toe Straps & Cuff Straps:
Xsjado went with a Nylon material for the Toe & Cuff Straps. Nylon is a high-strength & resilient material, a big upgrade from the normal fabric based straps on the older models.
Adjustment Points: 3 Position Adjustable Instep Strap Mount & 3 Position Adjustable Double Ring Mount
Being able to adjust nearly every aspect of your skate is a great feature on Xsjado boots. Now you can rocker your Cuff Straps up or down. And the Notched straps can be rockered forward or back. This is going to be something your going to need to try out to see what works best for you. It’s these fine tuning adjustments that make Xsjado’s adaptable to many different skating styles.
The Cuffs: 2.0 Higher Cuff Piece & 2.0 Lower Cuff Piece
The new cuffs on the Xsjado 2.0 Skeletons are now a 2 pieced hinged cuff, so the flex is going to feel more like a naturally cuffed skate. The older 1.0′s had the one piece Cuff, and those cuffs flexed more at the top of the skate instead of the ankle, like a skate normally does. Also the new 2.0 Cuffs are now compatible with normal USD Buckles and Razor Buckles. So if you want something that’s going to be more durable than the nylon straps these skates come with, then buckles would be the way to go. New 2.0 Cuffs also have a buckle/strap protector bump. Back of the cuff features a carrying strap and a built in v-cut insert that is removable with some cutting from a dremel.
